Discontinued Series: The original "Windsor Series" sash is no longer offered or manufactured by the Windsor Window Company.

Our Replacement Solution: We offer a custom replacement sash manufactured to fit into the original pre-2000 Windsor Series frame (standard catalog opening sizes).

Design Differences: Original units featured a thin roll-formed clad exterior with rubber boot-glazed glass. Our replacement sash features a heavy-duty .050 extruded aluminum exterior, a pine interior, and is interior-glazed for improved durability and performance.

Non-Returnable: All sashes are custom-manufactured to order and cannot be returned.

Included Components: Heavy .050 extruded aluminum clad exterior, interior pine finish, glass unit, and weatherstripping on the top rail and both side stiles (refer to illustrations above).

Exterior Finish: Painted to meet AAMA 2605 performance specifications. Eight standard cladding colors available. Custom colors are available for an upcharge on orders of 20 or more sashes. (We strongly urge purchasing a color palette card to match your exterior—search "color palette" in the search bar above).

Interior Finish: Choice of pre-primed (for painting) or raw pine (for staining).

Glass Options: Three standard glass choices, with optional tempered safety glass.

Mullion / Multi-Lite Units: Fits 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6-wide casement openings—simply select the individual sashes needed for each opening.

How to Select Your Size: The sizing menu displays original Windsor exterior sash and glass dimensions for easy comparison and ordering.

Dimensions Note: Because our replacement sashes are manufactured with modern extrusion profiles, the physical dimensions upon arrival may vary slightly from your original unit, but they are engineered to fit the same rough opening.

CAD Spec Guarantee: All replacement sashes (standard or custom sizes) are manufactured strictly to the specs shown in the CAD illustrations above.
Hardware & Accessories

Original Hardware Re-use: Hardware is not included. You will need to carefully measure, mark, and transfer your existing hardware to the new sash.

Recommended Upgrade: We strongly recommend ordering new adjustable hinge and track kits for each sash to simplify installation and final adjustments (SKU: MRVCSE7).
Critical Differences to Keep in Mind

Grilles Between Glass (GBG) / Sightlines: Sightlines on replacement glass do not match original sashes exactly. If your window setup includes tight-mulled units with internal grilles or simulated divided lights (SDL), we recommend replacing all adjacent sashes so horizontal grille lines line up evenly.

Removable Wood Grilles: Original removable wood grilles will not fit these replacement sashes. New grilles must be reordered (SKU: MRVCSE664).

Simulated Divided Lights (SDL): If you need exterior/interior surface-applied grille bars, please contact us for a custom quote.
