Product Overview Marvin no longer manufactures or supports the Casemaster series casement window (produced from 1985 to 2008). We offer a replacement sash designed to fit directly into your existing Marvin Casemaster frame.
While these sashes are engineered for a precise fit, they are not an exact aesthetic match to the discontinued Marvin originals. Before ordering, please review all provided illustrations comparing the old and new sashes, read the technical specifications below, and watch our installation video.
What is Included
- Materials: Complete wood or heavy .050 extruded aluminum clad exterior, with a pine interior and glass.
- Weatherstripping: Included on the head (top) and both sides. Note: Weatherstripping is no longer included on the bottom rail to allow moisture to weep out properly.
- Finish Options: Interior face can be ordered pre-primed for painting or as raw pine for staining. Clad exterior colors are painted to high-performance AAMA 2605 requirements.
Important Sizing & Aesthetic Notes
- Sizing Comparisons: The size selection menu displays the original Marvin "call-out" size, the visible glass size, and the exterior sash size. Compare your existing window's exterior measurements to the exterior sash size listed online to select the correct option.
- Manufacturing Differences: Because these are built with modern manufacturing techniques, the new replacement sash will have slightly different internal dimensions than your original. The new sash will provide approximately .250" more visible glass.
- Mullions & Alignment: Glass sightlines will not match original sashes exactly. If you have windows mulled tight to one another, we recommend replacing all sashes in that grouping so they match. Horizontal grille bars in the airspace will not align with original sashes.
- Removable Grilles: Existing original Marvin wood removable grilles will not fit these new replacement sashes.
- Tolerances: All sash dimension tolerances are +/- .125". Please review the provided CAD drawings for exact details.
Ordering & Shipping Policies
- Custom Orders: Sashes are manufactured to order and are strictly non-returnable. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the correct size is ordered based on the exterior sash measurements.
- Pricing: Pricing is per individual sash.
- Shipping: Crating, handling, and shipping is $165 per sash.
- Color Matching: We offer eight standard clad colors. We highly recommend purchasing a physical color palette card to verify your match before ordering (search "color palette" in the search box above). Custom color matching is available for an upcharge on orders of 20 or more sashes.
Installation & Hardware Requirements
- Hardware Re-use: Sashes do not come with hardware. You must measure, mark, and transfer your existing hardware to the new sash. Precise hardware placement is critical.
- Hinge Upgrade Recommended: We strongly suggest purchasing a new adjustable hinge and track kit for each sash to make final alignment easier. To purchase, search SKU# MRVCSE7.
