We want to be upfront and let you know that these items that have to be manufactured will take any where from 18-25 weeks to obtain, manufacture and ship out. You can no longer get replacement sash for the Hurd compression tilt windows (These are the windows with compression style balance system, no easy tilt latch system, and spring style balances). We do offer an alternative replacement for these units. A replacement sash kit that manufactured to fit right into your existing Hurd frame. Even huge jobs become small projects with this Double Hung Replacement Kit. There’s no reason to replace or even disturb the interior or exterior trim. The Replacement Kit utilizes an existing window frame in combination with snap-in jamb liners and energy efficient top & bottom sash that can be installed from the interior of the home. In a matter of minutes, you’ll turn an old double hung window into a major home improvement: Because the new sash are an easy tilt system they will be narrower than your existing sash. Measurements are based on your existing visible glass width and height (Always width first). Note if your sash are not the same height you will need to order the cottage style unit with the offset glass heights. Reminder, because of how the new easy tilt system works the sash will not be the same size as your original sash, the sash will be narrower then the existing sash.
