This 36" handle-height manual tongue gear is selected based on your specific:

• Faceplate width

• Backset

• Deadbolt throw

• Top tongue position

• Top extension length

All of these dimensions are listed on the worksheet. If all of your measurements match, this is the gear you need. If they do not match, please continue searching our inventory for the correct fit.

• Trimming: Many gear extensions fit multiple applications. Your replacement may require minor job-site trimming on the extensions, which can easily be done with a standard hacksaw.

Yellow Zinc vs. Stainless Steel (Extension Compatibility)

You have the option above to purchase the gear with extensions or the gear alone.

• Newer Stainless Steel Gear: If you currently have a silver-colored stainless steel gear, your existing extensions will work with this replacement gear.

• Older Yellow Zinc Gear: If your existing gear has a goldish-colored "Yellow Zinc Dichromate" finish, you must purchase the new gear along with the matching extensions offered. (See the product images above to compare the color differences).
